Welcome! Stay a while... ๐ต
I am an undergraduate at Creighton University, where I am pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Data Science, and Spanish & Hispanic Studies, with plans to graduate with a concentration in Natural Language Processing. As a first-generation college student and second-generation immigrant, I was selected as a Next Generation Leader at Creighton, a program that has generously supported my undergraduate education and academic development.
My research has spanned natural language processing, human-centered AI, and computer vision, work that contributed to my selection as a 2026 Barry Goldwater Scholar. Broadly, I am interested in natural language processing, human-AI interaction, and responsible AI, particularly in understanding how language technologies behave across diverse linguistic and social contexts and in developing systems that are more reliable, inclusive, and responsive to the people who use them.
Professionally, I have worked within the industry as a data scientist, AI engineer, software engineer, and quality assurance engineer, gaining experience with both the development and evaluation of technical systems. I especially enjoy working in environments where I can move between building, testing, analyzing, and improving technology, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to products that solve meaningful problems for the people who use them.
